I would like to share with you our backpacking trip to the Red River Gorge in Ky .y
First I would like to tell you that we did this trip with an internet backpacking group from TheBackpacker.com. They are a great group of hikers from all over the US. We had a great time meeting some new faces and seeing some of the best This USA has to offer.

Haystack rock
Whispering Bill (my hubby) and Colorado Dreamin and I went on a .2 mile day hike that ended up being over 6 miles long.this was one of the beautiful sites we found on that hike.
   But where is this place?
The Red River Gorge is approxamatly 30 miles south east of Lexington Ky.
